This video mash-up was shot at one of my gigs for the Bondi Open Air Cinemas here in Sydney.

Trippin' on One Teaspoon via Polyvore

Trippin' on One Teaspoon

The 2012 winter collection from One Teaspoon is totally trippin' in psychadelic Rock N Roll (see some of the first drop lookbook here). This dress reminds me of my grandmother (in the coolest way - she was wearing mini dresses patterned like this well into her 50's and always doing cartwheels!!) so it's pretty high on my wishlist right now!

I like to use Polyvore to create looks with pieces I already own, things I like/want and always keep it relevant to my own style. Like the Evil Twin dress above that I got from Market HQ - seen in this post and this video.

And dream big x

Aztec Rainbow Crusader

I've always thought of myself as a bit of a Rainbow Brite. You know, the colourful crusader riding Unicorns over psychadelic rainbow trips, spreading colour to the world and saving the planet from the evil, boring NO COLOUR badies.

I think I may have recognised the idea of fashion sense from her - she always wore her hair different (and obviously put a lot of effort into it, it always had great curls and body!). She had different outfits, and clearly little Twink was her PA and stylist. I also appreciate how much trouble she went to with Starlite's rainbow dip-dyed hair, I mean it would have been a feat to keep everyone looking so good whilst riding around, socialising with the other Colour Kids and riding the world of evil.
Phew, that does sound like my life. Haha
So my Rainbow Brite style choice for the day comes via some of my most loved pieces...
  • Mustard shirt and black suede Ringos shorts from One Teaspoon. It's the detail and texture of One Teaspoon's pieces that really express the quality - they always feel and fit so perfectly. The raw edging of the shirt is my fave detail.
  • MinkPink Aztec Tank (from Market HQ). Personally, this is my ideal style of tank - the fall of it and the bold print speaks volumes for everyday and something more.
  • Triangle Necklace by Recreational. On the whole Aztec trip, I'm obsessed with this simple, subtle dull gold design by a great up-and-coming jewelry label. I wear it daily.
  • Beads & Pandora Bracelets . If you're fighting evil and spreading colour to the world, you can never have too many bracelets. I'm always collecting, adding and interchanging my wrist-wear and one of my most loved pieces is my Pandora Bracelet. Filled with charms from across the globe, each one has a story about it and means something very special to me.

Try something colourful today!
Find something that made you smile when you were little.
Remember how you used to be invincible? You still are!
Spread some good around and you'll find the colours in the world :)

Bondi Open Air Cinemas - Photographed by Natalie Leung

I spent pretty much every night last week singing my little heart out at the Bondi Open Air Cinemas.  And stayed each night to watch the movies!
Drive : Good for Gosling-Eye-Candy. Not good if you don't like blood!!
Towerheist: Surprisingly funny - anyone else notice Ben Stiller talking in a deeper, more serious voice??
The Ides of March: Yes, double Ryan Gosling! I really dug this movie - made politics a little more Mafia!
Puss in Boots: OK... It did make me want a cat that could talk like Antonio Banderas though!

Seated under the Australian skies with a cosy blanket, friends, drinks, munching on popcorn and Ben & Jerry's ice-cream (Strawberry Cheesecake Ice-Cream? Yes please!) Not much more you could ask for, especially since I saw Ryan Gosling twice in one week. Hehe.

The girl with her eye behind the lens from the above images is Natalie Leung, from the blog Lucy and The Runaways. You can see more pictures from her post on the night and check out a cool little giveaway here.

    Somedays in Sydney

Dress: Somedays Lovin'  |  Blazer & Boots: Dotti  |  Bag: Sportsgirl  |   Neckplate: Beginning Boutique  |  Sunglasses: Ray-Ban  |  Black Bangle: Lotus Mendes  |  Belt: Vintage  |  HandChain: MojoMade

Morning coffee in Darlinghurst... This is what I love about Sydney - the side streets, the backstreets. There's always a little nook that is begging to be photographed. I could roam these streets for days enjoying the eclectic doorsteps and alleys.

I always underestimate the power of a LBD. This lacey, flirty, playful sweetheart dress from Somedays Lovin' couldn't be more versatile if it were reversable! Haha. And today you're introduced to my new fave boots (I needed some colour) and a muted gold hand-chain I made - do you like??

    The Story Of.

It's not often that I come across a label that makes me sick.
So much the epitome of my own personal style that I actually get annoyed. (Well, annoyed with excitement!)
Do you ever get that?? Maybe I'm just weird. Haha

But seriously, the 2012 fall / winter collection from The Story Of is simply epic.

The way I choose to express myself bends the spectrum of desire, happiness, love, sadness, cheekiness, and blinding darkness... I could go on forever... My music and personal style is very much that - personal. I like to make things my own. I'm not gonna do something how you're 'supposed to' do it just because someone else told you to tell me to do it that way. There's enough of that in the world.
I'm on my own trip thankyouverymuch.

And so, along comes this collection (I counted 116 individual pieces!!) from The Story Of - which is born from the diversely rich culture and heritage of tropical Bali by the stunning and creatively blessed Kukuh Zuttion.

    Mind = Blown.

If you're into the whole vibe of creative music and fashion...
A gyspy rock 'n' roller with moody undertones of old school class and a cheeky,
rebellious ticket to the wild side...
Then I insist you go and lose yourself at their website: http://thestoryof.com.au...
I honestly wish I could just post EVERY piece up here.

Remember this little TSO bodysuit post
I've been rockin' it a bit lately as the weather cools down here in Sydney.
(But with a maxi, not short shorts! hehe)
