I've been clearing out, backing up and sifting through photos on my loyal little Macbook to make room for a new addition to the MojoMac family... A spankin' new MacBook Pro. It's time for an upgrade with all the creative projects I'm getting involved in over the coming months. Excite!!

It's true - I'm part of the Apple Cult and will never turn back Mwahahahaa!

Anyways, I was looking at some pics from my trip to the USA in April and came across these images taken in front of the Viper Room on Sunset in West Hollywood... The photos were part of my winning entry in the Market HQ Style Off Competition and were taken by the uber talented and may-I-just-say-HAWT photographer Stephen Garnett.

I love this door. It's right outside my apartment and it just makes everything pop.

That's all I have to say. Haha.

I also die for this Furry cape - yes, I kinda feel like a Gorilla, but it is currently the coolest jacket / cape / furry thing I own.

I've been working 13 hour days at the moment - so excuse my randomness lol.

Queen of the Smokey Eye: Brigitte Bardot

Is there anybody out there who doesn't appreciate the magnetic bombshell that is Brigitte Bardot? Man or woman - it's pretty obvious why she has captured the heart of pop-culture...The old school glamour, boho-meets-French-chic, gap-toothed beauty just has that je ne sais quoi... And if all I can take home is little 'smokey eye' action - I'm thanking Ms. Bardot for what she's done for women, because a little black-magic on the eyes does wonders for us girls :)
If you don't know how to start, you could look up some YouTube tutorials like this one, or try a local beauty store - lots of make-up boutiques run little classes or of course one-on-one sessions.

Winter Staples via Polyvore

The main thing I love about winter is all the glorious layers us girls get to wrap ourselves up in... Like a pass-the-parcel that comes on and off depending on the heating (or no heating) between your house, your car and your work... It's easy to get stuck in a rut of jumpers, jeans and the same old scarves - but there's nothing wrong with finding your staple 'style' and interchanging that for splashes of colour or print. Again, thanks to Polyvore, I'm exploring some winter style by clicking and dragging and only THEN spending the balance of my Pay Pal account!

Leather pants, printed scarves, killer jackets, a fringe bag and these glorious ROC boots are my go-to's for the cooler months... I love a mono-chrome looks with a burst of red or turquoise to amp up a little personality on a dull day. And the best part for a chick with a busy schedule is this kinda look works day and night - no heels necessary!

Keep it Simple

This week I'm trying my best to catch up on all the things that were put on hold whilst organising the "teaser" launch event we hosted at The Backroom last Thursday. Other than emails and blog-posts, I'll admit that taking Lady Memphis for her daily walks was put a little on the back-burner. I fed her way too much food to compensate. Do you think you can do that with kids??

Recently I've been thinking about sending Memphis out to work, you know, start paying her way... I mean the dog just lays in front of the heater and chases a tennis ball all day - she really should start pulling her weight! But I feel guilty for the past few weeks of boredom for her so I'm taking her on a trip to Perth instead. Which reminds me, I need to ask Virgin Australia about the status of her frequent flyer points - the pooch must be getting upgraded to a seat on the plane soon with all the flying she does!!

See how good I'd be with kids right now? Feeding them treats when I'm absent and rewarding their loneliness with interstate trips to visit Grandma who will no doubt spoil them rotten and coke them up to the eye-balls with sugar. Yep, totally ready.
