What inspires you to be creative?

Over the last couple of weeks I was asking what inspires you to be creative... The incentive was that you could win a little jewelry pack from the Lotus Mendes collection but I had no idea that in asking you the question, I would be so inspired myself! Something about the all black, the jewelry, the tones... Makes me want to cast some spells.

Or make voodoo dolls of the people I don't like.

Wait, did I say that out loud? Haha, don't worry, you wouldn't actually know if I made a voodoo doll of you. You'd just all of a sudden get a pain in your neck. But I guess the irony of that is you're already a pain in the neck, that's why I don't like you.

Ahh the rewards of karma. And voodoo.

Now I'm thinking about that movie with Kate Hudson, The Skeleton Key. That was awesome.

Now I wanna go to New Orleans.

DIY: Jewelry Display Branch

I was thinking how I've got all this gorgeous jewelry and then it hangs on ugly hooks behind a door or sits in draws, when it should be on display... I mean, that's what I got it for in the first place, right?!

So I made this gold coated jewelry display branch with some simple supplies and thought you might be in need of something like this too!

I've been after a serious denim shirt for my serious denim-lust-obsession lately and found this one at a stall for Muchacho Clothing at the Bondi Markets. Conveniently my BF was right behind me and grabbed it before I had the chance.

It looked good on him.

But it looked good on me too.

So we're 'sharing' it.

Lotus Mendes Collection

Everything about this excites me.

You may recognise a few of these pieces as things I wear ALL the time (like the Goddess Ring)... I tend to find things I love and wear them out!! Whilst I like to challenge myself when it comes to style, I don't think there's anything wrong with keeping the things that make you feel amazing - no matter what.

It's like your fail-safe little black dress. You put it on when you want to feel incredible because you know it makes you look great. And when you feel like crap - you put it on because you know it makes you feel great!!

I try to find those things in more than just my LBD- like jewelry...

There's something about the Lotus Mendes collection that gives you that kind of empowerment through accessories - a MUST see :)

I've always been enamoured with the idea of 'Blue Suede Shoes'. Clearly from my childhood and days of singing and dancing to Elvis Presley vinyls. But it just doesn't get old. If I find a pair - I gotta have them.

I'm not so much into the plain old pump... but these babies from Tony Bianco (see more colours here) are far from boring! CHECK out the heels!! It's like 'magic mirror' for your feet haha.

Rocker Baby via Polyvore

Sometimes when I need a fashion fix (and have no $$) I just put these dream outfits together on Polyvore and it feeds me. It's also a great way to use your own wardrobe as inspiration...

I've got the black boots, denim shirt, RayBans, studded belt, gold cuff and leopard print scarf - all I need from this to complete it for real are the pink tie-dye shorts!

So I'm thinking of a little DIY project!

That place just doesn't get old. These were taken in Ubud, at an abandoned temple just behind the villa we were staying at...
Amazing area.
Looking at these makes me think it's time to start planning another holiday!!
