☽ Tonight's Black Moon | Jan 30 2014 ☾

Tonight's moon is not only a new moon but as it's the second new moon in this calendar month, it's a more rare black moon. It is believed that your new moon intentions are at a greater chance of manifesting due to magnified lunar powers of the black moon. So I thought I'd share a little information to help you get back into 2014, even though it's not feeling like the year is kicking off how you wanted it to - right?

After the New Years day new moon in Capricorn got us off to a lethargic start, this new moon in Aquarius is a chance to reboot by revisiting your intentions and determine if you're on the right track or not. You may feel like you had it all worked out for a stellar 2014 but things have been a bit slow... Luckily for those of us who feel that way, tonight's black moon carries a special energy for magic and manifestation, and a second chance for a bright new year!

How to Set + Re-visit Your New Moon Intentions
During this moment under the dark side of the moon, you'll want to give some time to your higher mind and make space for the universe to speak to you. A great way to do this is as follows...

▲ You'll need paper, a pen, candles (preferably white) or incense and a clear, relaxed mind.

▲ If you have crystals (including jewellery from my MojoMade Collection), feel free to re-program them with your new intentions - especially quartz crystal as these are the greatest transmitters of energy and love being under the moon.

▲ Get out and get under the moon (or chill indoors in a quiet space).

▲ Light some candles / incense + play some relaxing music if you wish.

▲ Write your intentions on that piece of paper and once your list is done read each intention aloud and really feel it running through your veins. 

▲ Now would be the time to re-visit any intentions you made earlier, like those pesky New Years Resolutions :) With the magnified energy of this black moon, you will find more power to manifest your desires.

▲ If you can - follow this ritual with an hour of silence, letting the universe throw you invitations for manifestation in the form of inspirational thoughts and flashes of insight. So meditate or practice some Yoga or just visualise those intentions in all their glory! It's time to negotiate a better future.

Honestly though - could you possibly feel any kind of bad when you look at this wall of colour? Something I love about Bondi Beach is the ever-changing graffiti wall that lines the pathway to the water. It's filled with colours, quotes, art and images that if you take just a moment to absorb - you feel a little bit of magic and all rainbow-ey sunshine enter your soul. Total freedom.

I have been spending so much time in my little cave and the recording studio at Sony making new music that I've hardly had time to get the jewellery design ideas out of my head and into reality - but this one, I managed to get happening! We had the first official 'business' meeting of 2014 this week and decided to have it at the beach (perks of being your own boss). Anyways, we snapped these pictures at Clovelly right before I stripped to my knickers and jumped into the water - it was the most incredible day, I just couldn't not be in the ocean!

All my life I've been drawn to specific colours at specific times. As a kid, blue was my favourite colour, it conjured up feelings of freedom and fresh air. I moved onto pink when I was about 18 - everything was pink, including my car - no really. *Sigh at my 18-year-old-self-dorkiness* For the past few years it has been orange that has lit my fire - there's orange lamps, Mac-book and iPad covers - I actually looked into what that all meant in this Orange Colour Energy Post.

But at the moment I am increasingly drawn back to blue - my first and true love, and I think there's a lot to be said for my return to juvenile instincts and how my life is shifting into a whole new realm of embracing my inner child. There's something magical about it, I feel like I've come home.

Just having these stunning shades of turquoise around me in my home and my little office nook makes me feel invigorated! It feels bright and intuitive and I think it may just be the colour of inspiration. And interestingly, the blue rainbow aura crystal jewellery from The Elemental Collection are the most popular pieces in my store - so it's obviously speaking to you guys too!

There will come a time in everyone's life when a real, old fashion mutiny will need to happen. An overthrow, a taking down, a battle of power, complete and total rebellion. But the question is, are you brave enough to face the one that needs to be overthrown? Chances are, it will be you. 

Have you forgotten the keys to the kingdom? Is the wild and passionate pirate in you strong enough to take this ship over from the straight and narrow captain? (Nobody looks good in all white anyway - let that be the first sign) Be bold young pirates and take the lead from the same old boring routes at sea and make your way to exotic ports, ready for adventure. I guarantee there's treasure and magic waiting for you on the high seas.
