Art is Created in the Silence Between The Fireworks

At the core of creating art, of making music, of fashion design, of blogging - of all creativity is one common thing: All the work that goes into making it can't possibly be captured in the final piece. The real essence of it all is in the silence between the fireworks. It's in the lead up, it's behind the scenes, it's waiting in the wings to change the set, it's sewing the sequins onto the costume, it's rehearsing the steps, it's the mixing of the colours before the paintbrush even touches the canvas. It's allowing the ebb and flow of creativity to take you wherever you need to go... 

Lately I’ve been doing a whole lot of re-assessing and tripping down memory lane - I guess that comes with totally redesigning your life. I’ve been blowing up beliefs and smashing down walls, planting seeds, downsizing, upgrading, shifting, creating… and man, it’s been kinda exhausting! And you know what? I want some distraction! I want some company on this trip! 

So, I'm taking MojoMade with me now... do you wanna come with us?

We're going somewhere pretty exciting, which I’m almost ready to let you in on… MojoMade is in a bit of a chrysalis right now and is soon to emerge as a completely new space. This is no longer an I and a ME project – it’s an US and a WE thing. Lets just say this…

August 10 Supermoon: The Closest Full Moon of 2014

The August 10th full moon is another Supermoon, but tonight, the moon will actually be the closest to Earth for 2014 - so it's pretty spectacular! There are so many things you can do to take full advantage of the full moon's power, and over the coming months I'll be sharing some very special in-depth information on everything moon-related. But today I wanted to share a few things as a bit of an introduction, and send you to some of my favourite gypsy-hearts out there who can guide you with some beautiful actions you can take to harness this super moon magic!

The full moon is the most powerful time to cleanse your crystals under lunar light, because the moon is in full view - therefore it's energy is able to illuminate your crystals at full power. I personally cleanse all the crystals in my MojoMade Jewellery collections (which you can read about here), after they've been charged up with sunlight and bathed in ocean waters. 

A TIP ABOUT FULL MOON CLEANSING

Keep in mind that the lunar light of the moon represents feminine and creative energy... It can be wild and unruly if it's unfocused, so you may want to balance this with solar light to keep things solid.

Words can be cheap. Sometimes they shortchange us and we don’t get across what we’re trying to say. It’s really what we do with our energy that conveys our true magic. It’s what we do with our art in life that spells out who we are, and it’s the intentions we live by each day that speak the loudest.

So, when I started playing around with some new artwork and was introduced to the bright, fresh new Princess Power fragrance - I thought it was only too perfect a chance to speak through images rather than words! This is the space I'm breathing in now... It's still as colourful as ever, but the colours I see have some kind of mystical serenity to them. It's not so in-your-face Pirate... there's a lot more Mermaid princess vibin' is going on here - and really, of all the princesses I know, if I was going to be one - it would totally be Ariel. I mean, my name actually means 'from the Sea'... Hey - maybe that's what this whole feeling of 'coming home' I've had is about - maybe I AM a mermaid princess. Or was one in a past life. I should look into that.

I love that no matter how much we shift and change in life, we always have access to bright and bold memories - ESPECIALLY through the sense of smell. As soon as I sprayed the Princess Power fragrance I was hit with so much fresh lust for life and it reminded me of the feeling I had when I first discovered perfume. And although I'm breathing in a new space and living different colours - it's always a sweet trip to splash a little sweetness on your neck and let the bright, bold colours come out once in a while: Pirate pop-art Morgan behold!
