Streamline Your Style

I've been a little MIA from my blog here because, honestly I've had more important things to do. Those important things involve sorting out my online clutter and a little of the virtual chaos in my world so it is easier to blog-post a LOT more. Actually, I'm getting a little obsessive with ORGANISATION in my life.

I'm a singer and songwriter, a designer, and a style blogger who is growing a new business creating bespoke crystal jewellery and I work free-lance in graphic design. I spend my spare time with friends and a boyfriend (who is also a singer and actor). I'm running, I'm cross-fitting and I'm yoga-ing, I have a love of clean recipes and a growing interest in clean living, listening to The Wellness Guys Podcast and everything else the Wellness Couch has to offer. I'm writing and recording new songs, designing, making and posting MojoMade orders and all the while, giving my Nespresso machine a serious work-out and carrying around an exploding head of ideas (thanks Evernote)!!

And yet - I've never felt so chilled out.
Things are clearer.
Things are defined.

And so, with the growth, progression and forward momentum of all these aspects, in order to continue living this fantastic, art-filled, creatively fulfilling, travelust, gypset life, the time has come to STREAMLINE.

I feel like I woke up one day in early January with a completely different head space and since then I can't help but notice that each time I think I've done the clean-out or the organising, that there is still a whole lot of shit to get rid of. Physically, emotionally and mentally.

Now, during all this a girl has gotta look good, right? My most favourite style-go-to lately (during my daily attempts to fit-it-all-in) is the maxi skirt. I wear them with tank tops, crop tops, my boyfriend's t-shirts, I dress them up and down and all around. Heels, flats, boots, sandals, with headbands or hats - a maxi could be the answer to instant effortless style. You can of course double up the style-factor by pulling it up high and wearing it as a dress - I should probably share some of those ideas with you, actually....

And one thing I think I've made clear (I hope) is that short girls CAN wear Maxi's!

Anyways, my point is - don't be a slave to current trends JUST BECAUSE. Find the things that make you happiest, feel sexiest and take the least time to put together so you can get out there and ENJOY LIFE! Trends are great to take inspiration from and inject into your own personal style... But that's about it... Otherwise you might look like you've gone to a store and asked for 'everything that's on the mannequin out-front'... Last weekend I saw 3 (YES 3!!) girls that weren't together all wearing the same dress with the same shoes and the same style necklace... Awkward!

  2. Lol, I know what you mean about seeing the same style everywhere, even on the blogs I read sometimes the transparency of big clothing brands using bloggers to hawk their ugly stuff (a black brand name beanie and weird dress come to mind) amazes me and I am glad I don't go through any of those brands to buy their stuff, or get it for free as a blogger, cos, at the end of the day, I don't like their clothes. Anyway, I'm digging the skirt Mojo, it looks awesome. My friend loved her necklace from your brand too, she said it reminds her of the never-ending story... then I started calling her moonchild for the rest of her party. x
